"OTH" Creates Drama On-Screen and In the Room

The roommates here in West Shaw have been watching season one of "One Tree Hill."

Season one episode eleven began the same as every other episode - roommates screeching/ singing the theme song. Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Want To Be" is a great song, but everyone living on the floor must be getting sick of it. To them I have to apologize. Sorry, only seven and a half more seasons to go (not including the final season set to air in January)!

Next came the drama on-screen.

The character Peyton likes Luke, but he's dating Brooke, who is jealous of Peyton's relationship with Luke because Peyton's dad is never home and Luke is trying to help her through it.

Sound confusing?

Don't forget the part about Luke being ignored his entire life by his birth father, who also fathered the character Nathan, who is dating Luke's best friend, Haley. Last but not least, cue the teen pregnancy and bad family lives.

It's pretty dramatic stuff - reminiscent of high school.

After the episode came the real trouble - roommate trouble.

Normally the most recent addicting television show takes precedence over homework in Kelli and Darcie World (aka our room in West Shaw), but this time there was way too much homework to be done.

"I'm actually really mad at you right now," said Kelli as she walked out of the room towards the study lounge after I said I wouldn't watch the next episode.

Next time, we'll have to watch "OTH" after doing homework.
